The Boards of Education of the component districts in Western Suffolk BOCES voted to approve the 2017-18 Western Suffolk BOCES Administrative Budget on April 25. The Boards also re-elected Peter Wunsch of Commack and Jeannette Santos of Amityville to the BOCES Board.
“We appreciate the trust and support our districts and Western Suffolk BOCES will continue to provide excellent educational services for students in our programs,” said Michael Flynn, Chief Operating Officer. “We pledge to continue our efforts to contain costs while providing high quality Career and Technical, Special Education and support services for our component school districts. “
The budget received unanimous support from the 17 districts that conducted votes at public meetings April 25. The Amityville Board of Education did not conduct a public meeting and therefore did not vote.
