Board Recognizes Outstanding Students

 

The Western Suffolk BOCES Board of Education recognized a dozen students at its May 12 regular meeting who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, performance and citizenship.

Although prohibited by New York State order to conduct the meeting publicly, families of the honored students enjoyed the program presentation via livestream. The students honored were: Mayeni Hernandez, Wilson Tech Huntington; Griselda Jimenez Contreras, Wilson Tech Dix Hills; Emily Vaughan, Wilson Tech Northport; .Gina LaMarca, Wilson Tech Republic; Logan Steinhauer, Wilson Tech Republic; Joseph Polk, Manor Plains High School; Braelyn Holley, Brennan High School; Tay’shon Edwards, JEA Jr./Sr. High School; Anthony Falleo, Itinerant Program; Jazmine Gilreath, JEA Alternative; and John Devine, Oldfield Middle School ALC.
