Classroom Management 2-Day Workshop **IN PERSON** presented by Michelle Levy – 8:30-2:30pm

Effective classroom managers are known not only by what they do when misbehavior occurs, but by what they do proactively to set up their classrooms for academic, social and behavioral success for all students. This two-day workshop series is designed for PreK-12 educators who seek to improve their classroom management skills through the use of evidence based practices to which they may have never been exposed through college teacher prep courses and/or district wide professional development. Development and use of these strategies have proven to increase instructional time and student engagement, improve a positive classroom learning environment and minimize discipline problems. Essential features of effective classroom management to be discussed include: -development of positive relationships, -understanding of student behavior, -use of quality instructional practices, -implementation of positive and negative consequences, -establishment and use of routines, -rules and expectations and -redirection of challenging behaviors. Audience: Administrators, teachers, support staff
