Instructional Strategies for Success on the ‘New” Global Studies Regents Exam **IN PERSON** presented by Joan Caliendo – 8:30-2:30pm

This is a preparation for the rigorous assessment that will be the new Global Studies Regents. This full day workshop has been designed with these challenges in mind. Preparation for student success in the following areas will be explored: 1. Discussion of contextualization 2. Identification and explanation of historical relationships 3. Learning how to source a document accurately 4. Learning how to include proper outside information in an analytical manner 5. Learning scoring strategies The concerns and needs to support struggling students will also be addressed. Teams of social studies teachers and their special education collaborators are encouraged to attend.
