Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) 3-Day Workshop Gr K-8 **IN PERSON** presented by Kristina Seeley – 8:30-2:30pm
February 8, 2024 @ 8:30 am - April 12, 2024 @ 2:30 pm
Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) is a rigorous, small group, supplementary, literacy intervention designed for students who find reading and writing difficult and need intensive teaching to achieve grade-level proficiency. LLI Primary Systems deliver the engaging, efficient, and effective intervention that can give students the boost they need to read at the same level as their peers in as little as 18-24 weeks. The intervention should take place consistently in suggested small groups in addition to classroom literacy instruction to see maximum results. In this workshop, participants will receive three-days of intensive training (two days of start-up training and one follow-up day) on the LLI systems and will learn specific skills and strategies to address the needs of readers who are not yet at grade -level proficiency. In addition to an overview of the components and implementation of LLI Second-Edition systems, professional development for these systems delve into the routines needed for proficiency in reading. Teachers will explore the rich opportunities in the LLI Systems for Phonics, Fluency, Comprehension and Writing About Reading. Must attend all 3 days. Materials not included.
