Phenomena in the Science Classroom **IN PERSON** presented by Carmen Foschino – 3-5:30pm

Chemistry is phenomenal! Be an active participant in this workshop as you experience phenomena-based learning from the prospective of a student. Learn how to engage students integrating science practices, crosscutting concepts, and disciplinary core ideas. Inspire discussion, as an educator, using phenomena as observable events that occur in the world. Using various topics from the chemistry curriculum, participants will engage in hands-on activities. Participants will leave this workshop with resources and strategies that will inspire students to ask meaningful questions through observation and scientific understanding. The ideas can be used across disciplines but the focus is on chemistry.
