Prepare for Implementation of the NYS NGSS and Upcoming Gr 5 Science Assessment Gr 3-5 **IN PERSON** Presented by Mary Loesing – 9-12pm

This workshop will provide 3-5 educators with information about the implementation of the NYS Next Generation Science Learning Standards, including the 2024 Grade 5 Science Assessment. Mary Loesing, Ed.D. will lead participants through an overview of the standards, an exploration of the changes, and a look at the expectations for the upcoming Grade 5 Assessment and tips on conducting the four Investigations required prior to the ELS Assessment. This workshop is designed primarily for those at the beginning of their NYSSLS implementation journey. Please bring a device. Districts are strongly encouraged to bring a team, representing grades 3-5, along with science specialists.
