Restorative Practices and Creating a Culture of Care **VIRTUAL 3 Two-Hour Sessions** presented by Christina Moran – 4-6pm

January 10, 2024 @ 4:00 pm - January 24, 2024 @ 6:00 pm

This session will focus on both the theoretical and practical applications of incorporating Restorative Practices into your school. -We will share the research surrounding the positive outcomes of bringing restorative practices into your school community. -We will share our blueprint for a multiyear implementation to ensure Restorative Practices become ingrained in the school culture. -We will explore how to cultivate teacher buy-in and the step-by-step approach to creating a school climate that is responsive to the needs of children and committed to supporting our most at-risk students. This approach teaches students and adults how to engage in difficult conversations, take accountability for the impact of their actions, offer and receive forgiveness through building community. You will walk away with resources you can bring back to your school to engage your stakeholders in the important work of Restorative Practices as well as learn how to run community circles with staff and students to focus on relationship buildings. Eligible for 6 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1 Consortium Seat. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
