Mildred Browne, a Board member of Western Suffolk BOCES, was recently recognized by the New York State School Boards Association for her many years of participation in leadership development activities. On behalf of NYSSBA, Michael Flynn, Chief Operating Officer, presented her with a “Learning for Leaders” certificate at the Board’s February meeting. Mrs. Browne has been a member of the BOCES Board since 1994. She served on the Board of Education in the Copiague School District from 1981 to 2002.
