Shining at the Olympics

Shining at the OlympicsJEA Jr./Sr. High was proud to have 43 students compete in the May Special Olympics at Walt Whitman High.

In the 50-yard dash, students exhibited speed, endurance, and coordination. Students performed independently and were thrilled to hear their names announced at the starting line.

Next came the Turbo Jav when students exhibited great excellence in strength, power, and control throwing the javelin.

Upon receiving their medals, staff and parents cheered for the great dedication and sportsmanship of the athletes. The Special Olympics could not have been accomplished without the great efforts of both the staff at JEA Jr./Sr. High as well as the participants and parents.
