For nearly two decades the staff at JEA Elementary School have helped students with autism develop both their academic as well as social skills. As the Applied Behavior Analysis program has expanded over the years, the staff have become active in increasing awareness of the condition. This year during World Autism Day, the staff, including Principal Martin Hearney (front row, l.), wore blue in support of Autism Awareness. The ABA program plans to participate in additional activities as part of Autism Awareness month which will end with an Autism Walk at the school for both staff and students.
